Pick-Up of Children: kindly note that in as much as we know the crazy and highly unpredictable nature of Lagos traffic, nevertheless, we will appreciate you pick your kids on time. However, after a 30 minutes grace period, you will be charged a fine. For those participating in the After-school program, we offer extended stay packages. Please feel free to seek clarification.
Diaper Changing: during the day, we change the children’s diapers periodically. However, we do not stock any changing materials at the center but rather depend only on the supplies you pack to the center daily.
Nannies/Caregivers/House Helps: after the drop-off of children, we do not allow nannies or caregivers to remain in the center.
Mum & I: the program will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm on indicated days. For free play with their children, parents are encouraged to use the center.
Camps: in order to host camp activities, we close the center at certain periods during the year. Mainly during Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays. During mid-term breaks, we also have mini-camps. However, kindly note that our camps are not to be seen as extensions of the school environment. They are set-up towards high-level fun and games thereby having separate schedules and payment structures. Also, for interested participants, places are not reserved in our camps until fully paid for.
Public Holidays: all Federal and some States government public holidays are observed by the center. That notwithstanding, we will always inform you in advance.
Fumigation: to ensure a high level of quality environment for your kids, we fumigate our out-door play area and indoor facility quarterly. In addition, sterilization with the use of steam is carried out twice in a Month for floors, carpets, toys etc.God
Lunch/Snacks: during set times of the day, children are encouraged to sit together to eat food/snacks packaged for them by their parents or provided by the school. However, in case what you package requires refrigeration or any special keeping/feeding instructions, please let us know when dropping them off. Meanwhile, several attempts would be made to feed them during the laid down times but we will not compel them. It is advisable you provide food that your children enjoy eating. Nevertheless, if you feel that your child is not eating well enough while at the center, kindly note that it is possible to pick the child prior to lunch time so that he is fed at home.
Wellness: your assistance is well needed to ensure a well and healthy community. When children are newly leaving home, it is normal for them to circulate coughs, colds and upper respiratory problems. This is unbelievably natural and it happens all over the world. Each child’s immune system does not advance at the same pace and sooner or later the incidences will diminish. You are encouraged to speak with a pediatrician about this subject because it can turn into a case of anxiety and distress for parents and oftentimes, the fury is unfairly directed towards the school. Consequently, if your child has fever,or cough kindly keep them at home for at least 24hours after the last fever or until a doctor feels his able to mingle again. If we believe that your child is unwell, we will call you to take him home for the necessary personalized care.
Sick Days: in as much as we have concern for all children registered with us and do not pray that they will have any reason to miss school, kindly note that should your child miss school due to an ailment, we will not refund nor transfer any payments that have been made on their behalf. The payment that has been made is to reserve a place for your child regardless of their presence in the program.
Immunization: for all of our children, we follow the Nigerian recommended immunization schedule. Upon registration, we will require a copy of your child’s immunization record on a regular basis.
First Aid: First Aid and Basic Life Support Skills training are being given to our staff annually. In the exceptional occurrence of an emergency, we will respond quickly and call a parent/caregiver immediately.
Labels: to enable us ensure that items do not go home with the wrong person (or easy return if they do), please clearly label your child’s bag and eating materials with his names.
Daily Communication: as much as possible our Activity Coordinators will forward daily report about your child’s activities to intimate observed developments while in our care. Meanwhile, these daily communication apply only to children in the preschool. In addition, you can use daily communication book to direct questions to your child’s coordinator or you can speak with them directly during pick up or drop off. If you need to escalate your issues, please feel free to contact the head teacher or proprietress.
Accidents: while at the center, if your child experiences an accident, we will determine whether it requires our First Aid treatment. In the daily communication/Activity book, we will explain what happened and how your child was treated. However, if your immediate attention is required, you will be called.
Special Care: some children do have allergies or other health-related issues thereby requiring extra care and closer monitoring. Kindly let us know if your child belongs to this group. Such issues can be, although not limited to food allergies, grass allergies, asthma, and other breathing conditions etc.
Birthday Parties: you are permitted to send in a cake and/or cupcakes for distribution to the children when they are going home. Furthermore, you can provide very modest party packs which are to be distributed to all of the children in your child’s class. It is however, advised that a more lasting gifts like books dedicated to the child should be encouraged to equip the school library. If you would want us to take pictures, please leave the camera with your child’s teacher and it will be returned by the end of the day. However, please note that we do not permit the celebration of birthdays.
Respect: we believe that truly our children evoke emotional responses but you are implored to please handle all of your liaisons with us with respect. Verbal or physical abuse of our staff will not be acceptable to us. Any such breach will result in an immediate expulsion of the child.
Payments: kindly note that we do not receive fees payments in cash. Kindly liaise with the administrative office for the school accounts details. However, please be informed that surcharges shall be made on bounced cheques and on any payment in instalment. In addition, it is important to note that we reserve the right to amend our prices but, we will never do so without giving you at least a month’s prior notice.
