SECOND HALF TERM NEWSLETTER
Our great God has done this wonderful thing of keeping us in good health and alive yet, again. It is indeed an amazing grace given to us, to see the end of the year 2018, and the term one of this new academic session 2018/2019. This is why VPPS family will forever flaunt the Majesty of the Almighty God. After the resumption from the half term break, few activities were organized and it is our responsibility to acquaint you with them all.
This took place soon after the return from half term break. Victoria Praise Pearls School sparkled in gold that day. The children and the members of staff were radiant in gold colour. The learners were exposed to the knowledge of gold mining. There was also a practical demonstration of colours that can be mixed to form gold colour. The day was fun for all.
-PARENTS PARTNERSHIP FORUM (PPF)
The meeting started two hours behind the scheduled time, became only one tenth of the total parents that eventually turned up, were seated at past 10am. The forum was set up for the purpose of the positive way forward for our children in every wise of child developmental stage. The management and our dearest partners (parents) shared lots of observations, suggestions and opinions together and everyone went home with a gladsome mind. Minutes of the meeting was posted to parents by the next Wednesday; so that our parents, who for one reason or the other could not come would be carried along.
The primary section of the school hosted an intra spelling bee competition. The primary one class was actually the contestants. Every single one of them took part in the spelling contest. Parents couldn’t come to cheer the children this would have been a driving force for them. Winners were rewarded with prizes.
The children’s interest in the following clubs; Choreography (Ballet, Salsa, Contemporary Dance) has forced the management to formally bring in experts to train the children. The clubbing activities will begin immediately after resumption. The cost for Choreography: 5,500/Child, while Taekwondo: 5,000/Child. Like every club, the Taekwondo has it’s uniform (Kimo) which cost depends on the make; the Nigerian type is N4, 000, while the foreign type is going for N6,000.
We sincerely appreciate our partners (parents) for prompt payment of the children’s school fees. This really gave us the strength to go extra miles in the delivery of our service. To further encourage us, we plead that fees should remain a top priority in the mind of our dear parents even as we all will be in the mood of this festive period.
The prevalent economic situation in the Country has made the management to come up with the following suggestions and options to lighten the burden, ensure prompt and ease payment:
-PAYMENT MONTHLY: This will avail the interested parents the opportunity to pay fees monthly for three months in a term
-LOAN: This was suggested beginning of last term and a Finance House invited to enlighten parents. The Finance house pays the fees to the School and parents pay back monthly at an interest rate of 2.5% monthly.
-VPPS PRAYS AND PRAISES
Prayer, the wise says is the key and answer to all things. With the knowledge of this and the happenings around us, the management wants to implore parents to join us between 7.00-7.30am every first Wednesday of resumption to start our new term with prayer and end with praise same time every last Wednesday before closing for holiday. LET US COME TOGETHER AND PRAY
-END OF YEAR PARTY
Parents’ attendance was very remarkable. The children were all smartly dressed and parents looking gorgeous. Every performance by all our children; ranging from the KG, Nursery, to the Primary was impressive. The entire staff and management wish the families of VPPS a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance.
Please note that school resumes Monday 7th January, 2019. See you then by the special grace of God. Happy holiday!!!
