- -A Montessori, Caring and Creative World
13th December, 2019.
As we come to the end of this year 2019, we cannot but give glory and honour to God for His mercy that kept us throughout the year.
It was fantastic to celebrate with so many of us at our Cantata night, our maiden evening event. It was great to see a significant number of our parents being present.
My sincere thanks go to all our parents, our pupils for their brilliant performances and to all the staff who have organized the events this term.
INDEPENDENCE /COMMUNITY DAY
In VPPH we believe that giving back to our community is a task that must be done, we thereby, through this activity imbibe this ethics and culture in our pupils. Thanks to the parents that supported us with tools to achieve our aim.
PARENT PATNERSHIP FORUM (PPF)
The number of parents that came was really encouraging. We are grateful for your comments that encouraged us to step up our quality delivery.
WORLD GIRLS CHILD DAY
Our beautiful daughters were celebrated. We used the opportunity to teach the pupils the rights of a girl child and to disabuse the discrimination between boys and girls. Freedom should be given equally to both boys and girls to express themselves in all areas.
Importance of colour yellow, where and in what it can be found in nature was our focus. It was used as to reinforce for the playgroup while the other pupils learn new things about colour yellow.
The Theme for the term is Carnival/Festival; this event was to celebrate the season. We used the theme to broaden our pupils’ horizons. We were able to achieve this through our various teachings and activities focusing on:
- Christmas festival.
- Shapes and colours.
- Musical instruments.
- Fishing festival.
It was a huge success. Once again we couldn’t have achieved this without our loving parents’ assistance with the children’s costumes.
As a way of adhering to standard practices, the school employed a computer teacher to step up STEAM. This term our concentration was on computer and coding. This has really helped to step up our IT and having our computer lab.
We concentrated more on our remedial class this term working towards our goal to make VPPH a solution school. The commitment of some parents is highly commendable in supervising home works and projects while many parents’ cooperation is needed to give utmost attention to their children’s performances. The children are our future, so please build the future you want from now.
We have given some projects and assignments to our pupils and sincerely trust your commitment to get that done and handed in as school resumes.
A school uniform teaches students to dress smartly and to take pride in their appearance; it has been observed that a lot of our pupils come to school in an unkempt manner and in wrong uniform. Uniform creates a look that speaks volumes about the pupils and the school. In view of this and the need to maintain our standard, the school from next term will enforce strict compliance to our uniform. Any wrong uniform, socks, cardigan, shoes, illegal branding with our logo, etc. shall be seized. Please ensure your child is properly and neatly dressed to avoid been sent back at the gate. Join us to instill obedience in our pupils and to build a school and you will be proud of. Uniforms are now available for preschool pupils.
We are excited to inform you about the introduction of Skills Acquisitions/Home makers’ Club. This is in fulfillment of teaching a child in the three (3Hs) Domains of learning; Head, Heart and Hand. This will include Cookery, Handcrafts, Decorations, and Etiquette etc. Please note, that this is a club activity, but we implore parents to subscribe for it. A lot to learn and a lot to gain
The wheels of our school VPPH will run smoothly on the prompt payment of fees, hence our policy remains payment in full before resumption with a grace of two weeks after resumption. Please make and rank our school fees your first priority to make the school run smoothly and without a hitch free. Your child’s bill is included in the report envelope.
END OF YEAR PARTY
To God is the glory that despite the hitch, we had a successful Cantata with the great turnout of our parents, our children’s performances and most importantly achieving our goal of coming together to lift our voice in praise to God. Our children’s party was with fun filled activities; bouncy castle, games, sports, grotto, food and drinks and of cause dance, dance and dance all the way.
